What Is Play+?
Play+ is a third-party, FDIC-insured reloadable account that may be used to fund your favorite resort, sports, or iLottery account.
The BetMGM Play+ Card is the version of Play+ that’s exclusively used to fund a BetMGM account or MGM Resorts account. Play+ essentially functions as an FDIC-insured bank account that you can use to transfer funds to and from your BetMGM account.
Other betting sites offer their own version of the Play+ card. To use Play+ at BetMGM, you must have the BetMGM-branded Play+ card.
Now that we know how Play+ works, let’s go over the steps of how to make a deposit at BetMGM using Play+:
Step 1: Definition of Play+
Play+ is a 3rd party FDIC insured reloadable account that may be used to fund an online sportsbook or online casino account. Most banks have restrictions on funding gambling accounts and Play+ helps work around those limitations.
Step 2: Finding the deposit screen
Once you have the BetMGM Sportsbook App opened and are logged in, the first step is to click on the deposit button next to your balance at the top right of the screen.
Step 3: Select your deposit method
That will take you to the deposit screen. The next step is selecting your depositing method by clicking the add payment method button at the top left of the screen. In this video, we will select the PlayMGM Play+ option.
Step 4: Register for a Play+ Card
After selecting the Play+ option, the third step is to register for the Play+ card. Click the sign up button and accept the terms and conditions to do so. Once successfully enrolled, click the Add funds button. There you will enter the amount you want to deposit and link a funding method.

Step 5: Fund your account
Once you have funded your Play+ card, the final is to fund your account. To transfer your funds, enter the full amount and click the deposit button.

How do I get a BetMGM Play Plus card?
Within a few days, a physical version of the BetMGM Play+ card will arrive in the mail. You can use that card to withdraw cash from an ATM, or use it for purchases wherever Discover credit and debit cards are accepted.
How does the Play+ Card work?
In order to use Play+ as a deposit method, you must first load funds onto the card. You can load funds into a Play+ account using several different methods, including a checking account (via online banking), a debit card, a credit card, a different prepaid card, or several other different methods.
In addition to using Play+ to deposit to online sportsbooks, you can also use the card as a prepaid debit card for purchases and ATM withdrawals.
