Learn what a Same Game Parlay is on the BetMGM Sportsbook app and how to place one by watching our video tutorial below.
What Is A Same Game Parlay?
A same game parlay in sports betting is a relatively new type of bet that allows you to combine multiple bets within a single game, effectively creating a custom parlay bet.
Unlike traditional parlays that involve selecting outcomes from different games, a same game parlay focuses exclusively on various aspects and outcomes of a single game. This type of bet has gained popularity due to its potential for higher payouts while still occurring within a single game.
Here’s how a same-game parlay (aka One-Game Parlay) works at BetMGM:
Step 1: Find a game that includes the One Game Parlay option
Once you have the BetMGM Sportsbook App opened and are logged in, the first step is finding the event you want to bet your One Game Parlay on. You can search for the event by scrolling the home screen or using the A-Z Sports Menu.
In the video above, I’m selecting a One Game Parlay in the Phoenix Suns vs Dallas Mavericks that requires Devin Booker to score 3+ 3-pointers, Dorian Finney-Smith to score 3+ 3-pointers, and Luka Doncic to score 3+ 3-pointers
Step 2: Choose how much you want to bet
After selecting the One Game Parlay you would like to bet; the next step is to enter your wager amount. To do so, enter the amount you want to bet in the bet slip at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3: Place your bet
The third and final step to placing a One Game Parlay is pressing the “place bet” button at the bottom of the screen.
BetMGM Same Game Parlay FAQ
Can you do a same game parlay on BetMGM?
One Game Parlays allow you to build a parlay from bets within a single game, as opposed to a parlay that involves multiple games or sports.
To place a same game parlay, look for the “Build Parlay” tab at the bottom left of a game line. If that link is present, you can click on it to open all of the available bets for a same game parlay within that particular game.
Why can’t I combine certain bets into a same game parlay?
For example, you generally can’t combine the moneyline and the point spread from the same game into a parlay betting ticket.
