GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Betting Hero has announced a partnership with the Michigan-based mixed martial arts promotor Lights Out Championship (LOC)
Founded by Jai Maw and Jeremy Jakary, Betting Hero is a first-of-its-kind gaming platform designed to help small and medium sized businesses generate additional revenue from the casino and sports betting industry.
Lights Out Championship and founder Matt Frendo organize MMA events at the Delta Plex Arena in Grand Rapids, during which it has developed a reputation for finding ways to “change the game” in the local fighting circuit in just a short period of time
The partnership is the culmination of relationship that began more than a year ago.
“Lights Out Championship has grown tremendously and is positioned to be a real force in MMA across Michigan and beyond,” Maw said. “We’re extremely excited to welcome the organization and its fans to the Betting Hero platform in preparation for legal mobile sports betting here in Michigan.”
“Knowing first-hand just how passionate the LOC fans can be makes a strategic partnership in sports betting an obvious choice for the company. We’re excited to build a lasting relationship with those fans as well as LOC at a corporate and individual fighter level. What goes better than mixed martial arts and betting?”
Founded in 2018 shortly after the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act of 1992 (PAPSA) was repealed, Betting Hero has driven more than 10,000 new customer activations for its casino and sportsbook operator clients.
Those 10,000-plus activations have come from more than 50,000 in-person conversations with new and existing bettors in multiple states, evidence that Betting Hero is proud to educate new and existing players about how to responsibly gamble, as well as how to navigate the pitfalls of each individual operator’s registration, funding, withdrawing, and betting process.
Through its partnerships, Betting Hero will help motivated business owners replace lost revenue and generate significant additional income by embracing the newly legalized online casino and sports betting industries emerging throughout the United States.
Prospective partners include sports bars, restaurants, bowling alleys, golf clubs, amateur sports teams or promotion companies, etc…
Frendo, a lifelong fan of mixed martial arts, started the company after seeing the passion for the sport on the local level. Lights Out differs from many regional promoters by hosting events in the 5,000 seat Delta Plex instead of smaller event centers, casinos, or gyms.
Providing a “big fight” feeling for both athletes and fans is paramount, Frendo said, so a partnership with Betting Hero was a logical next step.
“Our customers will absolutely love Betting Hero,” Frendo said. “Sports betting is something that will be around forever, and as it becomes legal for mobile betting in Michigan, our fans will love it even more. We will be able to provide them with great resources to bet on their favorite athletes in upcoming competitions. Many of our top stars at Lights Out Championship are being signed by the UFC, and this partnership will provide our fans to bet on these local stars moving forward, as well as betting on their favorite athletes in general.”
Betting Hero is inviting all Lights Out Championship fans and followers to like and follow Betting Hero on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to ensure they are first in line for all sports betting news and information in Michigan and across the country.
“We look forward to bringing those fans the best offers and promotions available when things go live in the state,” Maw said.
